The Kama has its origins as a farming instrument that was then adapted into being used as a weapon. Used in Okinawan kobudo, the Kama are traditionally used in pairs and can be easily adapted into any kata or form movement for displays.
The Prism Demo Kama is super lightweight at only 122 grams each. Made from Lotus wood and decorated in an attractive holographic prism decal.
Demonstration Kama are used for tricking and demonstration purposes with a 12" handle length and 18cm aluminum vented blade (blunt). Key feature is the non-slip grip handle - 10cm in length - gives you ultimate control for all demonstration purposes.
As a demonstration kama, the blade is not sharp. Made from a lightweight aluminium, they are suitable for demonstration martial arts purposes and are generally referred to as XMA or Xtreme Martial Arts.
