SMAI - Bo Staff - Beech Wood 4ft 5ft 6ft

Staffs are the perfect introductory weapon for all ages. Traditionally used in Japanese Martial Arts and used used for striking, blocking and sweeping opponents.

Manufactured from beech wood, these poles are available in thick or thin variations and in 3 lengths to suit all user heights 4ft, 5ft and 6ft in end to end length. Beech is a strong hardwood with tight grain and high shock resistance ideal for wooden weapons. Please note the thin variation may have visible knots in the timber which is common with natural materials along with slight curvature which is common in natural dried materials.

You should choose a staff that is close to your own height, unless you are training a specific style. The thinner or lighter a staff, the easier it  will be to handle, and the faster it will manoeuvre through air.
